“You
were changed”
Written by: Ayesha Asif
It never
feels the same way as if you were,
It feels
like a tchotchke, an inexpensive, small, less precious ornament.
Some
wrong-doings would have altered you,
Transformed
the way you express, feel, think and accept.
How to not
accept that you were part of something,
Something
important or unusual certainly,
You never
know, how could you?
Unaware
truths are a blessing to be counted.
With
patience, encountering in the most resilient manner.
You were
here to conquer,
Then why
lost now?
You were
distracted, understandable!
Why not to
resume again?
Why not
roaming on the field, on the streets again?
Afraid of
hurting your shoeless toes, your naked feet?
To roam was
to find your destination,
Not the
final one but the initial one absolutely.
The destiny
must be playful with you and your compulsions!
But I know,
you won’t settle for less,
You don’t
require bundle of roses with sympathies.
I already
told you, I know you better.
You
changed, you transformed, and you altered.
I saw
different shades, several versions of you strangely,
From
distance, retrenching, reducing and tightening.
You better
cherish yourself, clap in darkness for yourself,
You need to
appreciate the timings for everything to be done.
Don’t ever
try to do everything at once!
It takes
time, step by step, do each single thing every day.
Those
unsaid words must have said one day,
Even if it
touches the deepest of one’s soul.
Passing
side by side with eyes grounded like strangers.
What a
limelight moment to remember!
Knowing
only the names and nothing else.
What else
is required now?
Still
expecting the transformation for the sake of what!
Always
meant to be unknown, unsung like it was written already.
Hope never
dies, it is still alive, breathing lively.
How
unapologetically true!
That you
were changed taking all inside you.
